pro 96 question

Hey I was in lugoff pawn shop this morning looking to see if I can find my stolen scanner pro164 that someone stole from me a while back and found a pro96 for sale there.
it didn't have the factory antenna , it was a long antenna rubber duckie type thing anyways they wanted $349 for it but you can get one new for that price.
but anyways i thought i heard someone mention in the past that there car was broken into and they got there pro96 stolen well if they did i got the s/n for it just incase it was theres , any ways if it is all good and not stolen would it be a good deal to trade a 164 and give them 100 dollars for it or is it a rip off

You might also want to contact the Radio Shack repair facility that handles the Pro 96, if you have suspicions about the pawn shop.

It's possible the original owner registered the scanner with Radio Shack. There was also an upgrade a few years back that required sending the Pro 96 back to RS.
