Greeting,
Its been a couple weeks but this morning I was listening to the Chas. City F.D. I noticed instead of calling dispatch "Charleston", they are now saying "County".
Is this possibly preparing for the much anticipated move to the County Dispatch Center?
I've noticed the "new engine designations, 100 for Chas City, 200 NCFD, 300 St. Andrews, ect.
Thanks in advance
Wally

Hi Wally-
According to this article from the Post and Courier, the new center started dispatching CFD last month. They've been using the 1XX designation for their apparatuses much longer. Let's make a list of county FD designators:
1XX Charleston City
2XX North Charleston
3XX St. Andrews
4XX
5XX Mt. Pleasant?
6XX County Rescue Squad
7XX Johns Island
8XX James Island
9XX Awendaw
10XX
11XX Folly Beach
12XX
13XX
14XX St. Pauls
That leaves Sullivans Island, Isle of Palms, Dewees Island, Lincolnville. Anyone else I missed? Currently, it doesn't sound like Sullivans and IOP are using any of the above designators.
