North Augusta Public Safety has changed over to 800 as of this morning. They are using the Astro XTS 2500/ XTS2501 Digital Portable Radio, Model II W/T as well as mounted units in the cars. Have not been able to get any ID's due to time constraints.

Sounds like the primary dispatch is Talk Group ID 57568. There may be others for TACs but have not had much time.

They are still dispatching fire calls on the old frequency of 453.750. I have trunktracker up and running to try and get any additional ID's. Talking to some of the officers looks like they may have one or two encrypted channels.

Please let us know soon if anyone can find the new scanner freq. to NAPD. Scanner is too quiet and it's driving me and my bf crazy when we see a cop race down the street and have no idea what for! lol! Thanks!

NAPD went with the Astro XTS 2500/2501 scanner

NAPD went with the Astro XTS 2500/2501 scanner ---- Hardware and software encryption
Prevents scanners, unwanted listeners and other interference.

Been listening to them since Tuesday of this week on TG 57568. Haven't heard them on TG 57600 as of yet. 453.750 still seems to be the fire channel even though I've heard a couple of brush fires dispatched on TG 57568.

All P25, but haven't seen or heard any encrypted transmissions, yet.

I'm listening to them off the main Aiken SO tower in Aiken.

Listening on my BCD996T.
