SC forestry

okay today there was a bad fire and they where on tact 1 then more units came and they moved 2 tack 2 then 2 ppl where talking on tack 2 and said go to tack 3 does anyone know this freq.

It's hard to say for sure, I don't know the exact answer to your question.

I assume you've looked here: SC Forestry Commission Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference. Being in Greenwood, you're in the Piedmont region.

It's a good bet that they're using a VHF simplex channel, most likely in the 151-152MHz range. If you were in range to hear them on Tac 1 and 2, then you should be able to do a search between 151-152MHz as well as 159-160MHz to find it. It could also be one of the Mutual Aid channels (red, white or blue) or one of the statewide channels.

If you find it, let me know so I can add it to the database.
