Newbie needs help, badly! Anyone in Anderson?

Hi, I am a newbie to the digital scanners. I have been streaming on my Iphone, for awhile. I bought a RadioShack Pro 96 a few years back, and I have tried everything I know to program it and nothing seems to work. I have manually entered, and purchased the software from radio shack with the pc cable. It seems like nothing is picking up. I don't have much money, but would gladly pay a reasonable price for someone to program, and maybe walk me through the scanner, if possible. Thanks for any help.

What area of the state are you wanting to monitor?

The Pro-96 will not reliably monitor the digital simulcast system used by Anderson County agencies.

None of the current scanners do great, but you could consider a Radio Shack Pro-106 among others that do MUCH better than the Pro-96.

It will "work," but its ability to decode P25 simulcast systems is inferior to newer digital scanners like the PRO-106/PSR-500 and the PSR-800. I have each, and the PSR-800 seems to work best (compared to the others) decoding these type systems.
