New Feed Oconee

Hello,

I noticed the only feed for Oconee county was down for more than a few days, so I decided to get setup with a feed for people to listen to.

I have had my Pro96 scanner since 12/20/2005 as I recall, but I never use it all that much.
Well until recently that is.

The actual intent for this post is that I was looking for feedback on how it sounds and such.

I followed the instructions on setup to get the feed going still not sure what all that meant.

I don't know exactly how to link it to show the feed, but the URL I get in the live audio section is:

Sounds ok, some strange background noise on a few.

I would trim the amount of agency's you have going there. Might be hard to keep up with one when something gets interesting.

I run 2 scanners,1 local for feed the other I just listen to with bunch of frequency's, if something good happens on the non feed scanner I just swap the speaker plug over to it and lock it on that channel until its over. Then swap back to my primary feed.

Its hard to keep up with so many unrelated conversations. But some people might like that better.

I have since purchased a 12 foot coaxial cable to extend the rubber ducky antenna outside of my home to see if that might improve reception if that might have been the problem and I also changed the audio patch cable from a stereo cable to a mono cable to see if that improved the audio.

So hopefully all that has made a better difference in the feed.

I had been thinking about how hard it is to follow the conversations on the scanner feed app on my smart phone since you don't have that scanner screen to see who is saying what. Not quite sure what to trim out. The listing of all the frequencies are on the feed description page. It is a dump of the actual bank 4 from the scanner using Win96.

As a Oconee resident and scanner listener these are the frequencies you may want to cut as I have never heard anything on them or they are fire grounds channels. The database is up to date on all Oconee Public Safety frequencies. There is one talkgroup on the Pal800 for County dispatch to talk to the OMC EMS dispatch it is 52576.
