Purchasing a Digital Scanner

I recently moved to the Charleston, SC area and am interested in purchasing a new digital scanner to monitor public safety, marine, and aircraft communications in Charleston, Berkerly, and Dorchester Counties. I am considering a Uniden BCT 15 but wonder if I should go all the way to a BCD 996T since a number of new trunket systems are scheduled to come on line within the next couple of years. I welcome advice from anyone familiar with scanning in the Charleston and with the proposed new systems. Thanks!

BCT 15 is NOT Digital

BCD 996T is DIGITAL

With the new P25 system in CHS I would say go ahead and get the 996.They're several digital talk groups in the area also. and the AFB is P25 too. I love mine after I finally got it setup right LOL
