New TG heard

Earlier this evening (Saturday) I heard TG #56688 on Palmetto-800. Two members of a volunteer fire department in Fairfield County were talking about the steam engine at the SC Railroad Museum south of Winnsboro creating sparks that had started several brush fires. They also were talking about having a brush truck at the site Sunday (Oct. 15), as well as the SC State Guard having a presence. Has anyone else heard this group before? Are the FD's in Fairfield Co. going 800?

All fire and police in SC will have 800 radios by some unknown time in the future. Some may go for the full package and use it for dispatch. Most will not. These come on line one at a time. Simpsonville fire dept has only used theirs for the "Freedom Weekend Event" Keeping a scanner in the OPEN or SCAN SEARCH mode is a must.
