I was messing with the scanner today and found a control channel on 451.6500. According to the FCC data base that freq belongs to Northwestern Public Service, the local power company. I can't seem to figure out what type of system it is. It doesn't sound like a Erickson or P25 system.

Mototrbo or nexedge might be it.

Their license show narrowband fm only.

I have the other two freq's plugged in they have listed as well. I am picking up jibber jabber from the line crews on them. Maybe the first freq. is being used as a data channel only? They used to have a yankton repeater on 451.425. I haven't heard anything on it for some time, and the freq. isn't listed in the data base anymore.

This will tell you if it is Trbo(DMR) DMRDecode Download

If you have a linux box you can use Digital Speech Decoder( DSD)to decode trbo and other digital modes.
