Towers and monitoring across the state

I live in S.E. SD and have the Madiosn and Mitchell towers programmed in. Is it possible to listen to traffic in the Pierre area if I program in the Pierre tower frequencies as well. Don't know if the Pierre tower communicates with the Madison tower if that makes since. Thanks

Programming the Pierre tower freqs into you radio will do no good unless you are actually in Pierre. You can plug in the Pierre talkgroups and listen for them on the Madison tower...but the only way that you will hear traffic is if a Pierre unit is in Madison and is on a Pierre talkgroup.
