The Grand National Cross Country series is offroad quad and motorcycle racing. They are headquarted in West Virginia. The venue for the races is all over the southeast US. Multiple different classes and races occur over a weekend. The course is reset for different classes. Usually the course is anywhere from 8 to 12 miles for one lap. The races last from 2 to 3+ hours. There are MANY course marshalls on the track, in the pits and around the area.
Now, in years past they have always set up a repeater system. VHF from what I could tell. That would make the most sense as the locations are always thickly wooded and hilly/mountainous.
Has anyone monitored them in the past? Freqs? Do they slightly change the freqs to avoid interference?
There is a race Oct 23-24 in Crawfordsville IN.
Thanks guys.
