Has PC finally gone goofy? They gave kids options to vote on, then refuse to let them go with the option they chose.

School can't call team Cougars because it offends some women

Finally gone goofy, no. It's been goofy for quite a while. Do a search on the "Green Bay Pickers". Along with the fantasy league links, you'll find some about the Green Bay Packers being pressured to change their name to the "Green Bay Pickers" since "Packers" is related to meat packing, which is offensive to PETA and other vegan groups. "Pickers" would be much less offensive since it's related to picking vegetables, not killing and eating animals. The fact that the team was formed nearly a century ago by a group of folks that worked at a meat packing plant didn't matter. I wonder when they'll try to get the town "Fishkill, NY" to "Pollution Free Water, NY".

What ia this world coming too? This story was 3rd top story on CNN, and I even have seen it on our local (Toronto CA) news. I don't even know what to say. I can't think of a Club or sports team that has a name that would NOT offend someone. Time for the country to grow a pair, and get on with it already!

We would, but we're scared it would offend someone

Not to mention - We're way to busy going into debt feeding and clothing the countries that have vowed to destroy us, to get around to doing something that intelligent.
