Talking Listening To Scanner Feed With A Motorola Q9c SmartPhone

I have a Motorola Q9c SmartPhone and I had tried to get it to stream various feeds available on RR.

It kept giving me errors; Windows Media 10 on my Windows Mobile 6.1 Q9c would report
"Cannot play the file. The file is either corrupted or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play."

I tried the "mobile" section of RR and used the "mobile" type link that sends a .M3U stream to my Q9c; that didn't work either as it errored out too.

So I kept digging and I finally found software for my Q9c called Resco Radio. I installed that and setup a favorite to point to the MP3 version of the scanner feed I am trying to hear and viola - it worked. You can use Resco Radio for 30 days for free. Now I remember this is what I used on my old Motorola Q about 2 years ago when I was dabbling with streaming radio stations to it.

Here's the link to Resco Radio: Resco Pocket Radio for Smartphone

The only question I have is this: Is there some freeware out there that will allow me to stream without having to pay for it? After 30 days, I will either have to pay for Resco Radio, or not be able to use it anymore. I know I know it is only 20 bucks...

Thanks!

You'll have to go into menu>options>then select file types and associate GSplayer with all file types.
