Default Transferring metadata through Oddcast

Hey all. I've been searching & searching to no avail, so now I'll just ask.

I have a new scanner feed. 396T through Oddcast to RR.com. Easy breezy, audio is working fine.

I now want to send tags. I figured out how to capture the tags showing in the Freescan virtual scanner and send them as metadata to Oddcast. They are showing up just fine in the Oddcast metadata window and changing when the TG changes. Good so far.

Problem is this. How do I get my tags to come through my feed? If I can see them in my Oddcast, shouldn't I easily be able to send them through my feed? Maybe I just need to click a couple of things and I'll be set.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

MM

I highly recommend switching over to ScannerCast for your RR feed. It's free and the setup is a breeze. It will automatically configure your RR feed for you and send alpha tags at the same time.

Give it a try:

I have looked at that option. Thanks for the input.

But it still DOES NOT answer my question.

If Oddcast sees them RR should see them. Ensure you are using a player which supports the displaying of Alpha tags.

ScannerCast is a cool program, but does not support tag streaming for any of my radio's. I used the metadata from the window that the Virtual Scanner is being controlled by with my BC246T. But it does not stream to any of the players. I might be doing something wrong, but I think I have it right. Which player supports tags?

As a mod, then maybe you can answer this question.

Does Oddcast support it? As I said, I see them in my Oddcast window on my end, so does that mean that they can be seen on my feed?

What steps do I need to take to make it so?

I'm not sure, I am going to let a Live Audio Admin handle this.

It appears that RealPlayer shows the tags that I have inputed into Oddcast's metadata. The tag will show up when playing it from the stream.

My alpha tags are now showing up in my feed.
