Recording Audio of LIVE stream

I have searched the posts/threads for this info, but am having a great deal of difficulty finding an answer. Mainly b/c the word "record" is used numerous times throughout the forum, but is usually in a context describing a complaint, document, law, etc-- and not "record" as though to speak of audio files.

Is there a way for a person with only high-end novice computer experience to record LIVE audio?

Are you talking about a RR feed or a stream you are doing yourself?

RR feeds. I just can't afford to pay to hear the archives right now

If you can afford $15 you can purchase Scanner Force. Otherwise you'll have to wait for someone else with a solution.

Live audio from your sound card can be done with a lot of programs. If you want to record the stream, how about this.
