If you look in the folder with the program there should be a file called log.txt that should contain any error messages generated when the program tries to start. If that doesn't work, try running the _debug version of the program manually from a command prompt and you'll be able to see the errors, which will help you figure out what the problem is.

I'm currently using Two Tone Detect 60 on two different computers running XP covering 3 departments and just added a 4th department. Occasionally some of the members get a text message with no audio, reading:

"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your terminal"

while everyone else on the mailing list gets the message just fine. All messages are sent out in .AMR format, since those go out under 1 minute. When I tried using .MP3 format the messages took at least 5 minutes or more to reach the recipients, some took hours. Only 2-3 recipients at a time get this error message out of about 15 total recipients and its always random, its never the same phone number every time. It has affected every number on the mailing list at one time or another. Are there any solutions that may fix this? Is this an issue with .AMR format or is this happening on the phone carriers side of things?

v65 supports a custom Body field that's editable in the TonesEditor program.

Are you using a newer computer's onboard sound card? TTD requires an audio output device to be present (even if you're not using the playback during record feature), and some newer computers don't activate the audio output device until a plug is physically inserted into the speaker or headphone jack. You might need a dummy plug in a speaker jack to get it to work.

Out of the blue... the recordings that are sent sound like a robot is speaking. Any help?

No changes have been recently made.

It might be that the file size happened to be too large. This could happen if you're using dynamic record time and it was an especially long dispatch, or if you're already on the borderline and the mp3/AMR compression didn't quite compress it enough. You can try reducing your mp3/AMR bit rate to get smaller file sizes.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 6_1_3 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/536.26 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/10B329 Safari/8536.25)

Would it be possible to allow the RTL dongles to be used as a receiver? I'm talking about where the TTD program controls the device, no third party software.

It's not something I've looked into, so not any time soon. I'd be leery of using an RTL dongle with TTD because of the dynamic range issues. Strong nearby transmitters could potentially prevent pages from being received.

Hi,

I'm wondering if two tone could be used with streaming feeds. What I'd like to to is run it on the feed server and have it decode the tone and have the decoded agency names added to the meta data of the stream.

Its a little different then the current implementation where its looking for specific agencies and sending emails.

Default Ubuntu 12.04

I thought that I would report back that twotonedetect runs on Ubuntu 12.04 without issue. I have it installed on a web server and It has run without issue for 28 days. If anyone is interested I will do a writeup.

My recordings now contain a lot of static. I've tried different scanners with the same results. No changes made in the past few months. Static started randomly. Scanner transmits clearly, but not the recordings.

Any Two tone settings or computer settings to correct the static?

What sound card? What are you calling static?

How do things sound, If you connect something else to that input?

Here is a sample of my "static": https://www.box.com/s/zxs7n7v4mbtdmly7u4ff

Realtek audio driver.

I have not tried connecting something else to the input yet.

Would the bitrate cause static?

Hi All, I have been using this great program for a while now and have it upgraded to the lastest version which is working well just one question, I tried using a new email address from justhost.com, they have non-SSL setting and secure SSl/TLS setting and have tried both with no luck. Has anyone else tried using an address from them? Thanks

I see the audio is tagged as an eDispatch feed. Is that the audio you are feeding TTD?
