I'm by far an expert on this software but try deleting

alert_command = c:\test.bat
post_email_command = c:\test2.bat

from your tones.cfg

Also delete any of the unused [Tone#] stuff as well from this file as well

I had similar errors to yours and they were gone when I did the above

It's giving you that error because it can't find the file ffmpeg.exe

Please confirm that ffmpeg.exe exists in the same directory as TwoToneDetect52.exe

Just wondering if anyone has a way to start recording once a valid tone is detected.
I am not talking about with twotone, I looking for something that will record all radio traffic for the call so it can be reviewed later in training or call reviews. This would not need to be sent or anything just started and could be ended manually .

example:
A command to start audacity recording and keep it recording for the duration for the incident.

After placing the ffmpeg.exe file, it got to where it went to send the email. Now it's telling me my username and password are invalid. I used the base64 encoder for my password and I tried my username as just the name and as name@gmail.com. Nothing worked. Is there something else I am missing? Thanks for the help!

If you're using the program's config editor menu, you don't need to encode your password, just enter it normally. You only need to mess with encoding if you're manually editing the config.cfg file in a text editor, which you shouldn't need to do.

Im not able to use the config editor because there is no "save button" on it. It just has the fields on it and when I X out of it, it does not save the information. I even made the program window bigger to make the "save button" was not hidden and it's not there.

I use Scanner Recorder Pro to record all traffic on the channel in parallel with TwoToneDetect. Since it allows VOX recording, the files aren't huge. This records all traffic all the time, regardless of whether a tone set has been detected. It also timestamps each recording segment. There is a free version that has less features that a lot of people also use.

If you really want to just record after a tone set is detected, Windows Sound Recorder may work for you, as I believe it can be run from the command line.

There should be a "Save & Exit" button at the bottom. Can you post a screenshot of what your config editor looks like?

I am still having the same problem of false paging and certain districts not receiving their tones on their phones when that tone is set off. I don't know if this will help anyone but when our county tones districts out, the repeater does not unkey between the two tone sets. I have tried adjusting my Btonelength anywhere from .6 to 1.5. When it is at .6 or .8, all the districts that were paged out get their alerts but it will sometimes identify the Btone as an Atone and the Atone from the second page set as the Btone. When it is set in the 1.# range, it will not identify the correct district that is being paged second. Does anyone have any suggestions on this or is there a way that it could be made to do the standard Atone=1 sec and Btone=3 sec?

The ignore function is not working. With multiple co pages, once it gets the two tones (1st station), it is taking the end of the first tone and beginning of the next tone and false identifying a 2nd station page.

That's what I was thinking the problem was but wasn't sure. Any tips on how to fix the false paging and just pick up the districts that the page is meant for?

I have the same problem and haven't found a complete work around yet. Increasing the "B" tone length did help on some pages.

Tim,
I tried that as well and had the result of two departments being paged to a call and only one of the departments that was paged received the page on their phones. The other tone was misinterpreted as another tone in the county due to the fact that 8 out of 10 tones in our county are reversed between the A and the B tones. Right now I have the Btonelength set at .995 and it actually happened again this morning on a medical call. One district that was paged received the correct page, the other page that was sent out was for a district on the other end of the county. Hopefully there will be a fix soon for this.

Justin

Default Add date to email message

Can you tell me how to customize the "page received at" "time" fields so the date will be shown? I was going to use the standard php strftime parameters to add it but I wanted to confer with you first. Thanks in advance.
