Try it and report back if it works or not.
That only works if they are subscribed to the Project Fi service. Good catch, tho.

There are specific instructions regarding ffmpeg on Andy’s web page twotonedetect.net.
FFmpeg is now in the correct directory. It starts up when a tone is received. The error looks different in the log now. The most recent one is attached.

I think your problem is still related to ffmpeg. Here is what a successfuly ffmpeg conversion looks like:

1247.0 369.100998268
849.0 408.310719438
661.0 64.47909879
Waiting for Silence TFFD_Medical 20:13:16 on 04/10/18
Done recording TFFD_Medical 20:13:18 on 04/10/18
done writing WAV TFFD_Medical 20:13:18 on 04/10/18i
done converting to MP3 TFFD_Medical 20:13:20 on 04/10/18
done converting to AMR TFFD_Medical 20:13:21 on 04/10/18

The conversion from wav to mp3/amr is done by ffmpeg.

I appreciate all the help. I found out that the version of ffmpeg that I had was not compatible with my version of windows. It kept crashing, which caused the error. It took a little bit of searching but I found that right one and it has been running great.

Thanks again for the help.

Greetings all, I have been running v68 for about a year on a Windows 10 machine. The only issues I have had were things like the power going out or something like that, this program worked flawlessly. Last week Windows updated and now it won't decode tones. I updated to v70 and downloaded the latest ffmpeg and still nothing. I can see that it is receiving the audio when I have the debugger open, but the tones don't register for some reason. Has anyone else had this happen? Tones are 569.1 and 1006.1. I keep the tone tolerance set to 3.0 to allow some fudge factor. Any help is appreciated.

Did you move the tones.cfg and config.cfg files from your v68 folder to your v70 folder?
Or did you set up the tones.cfg file in the v70 folder?

I dragged and dropped. I'll try wiping them out and starting over with a fresh tone set and see if that fixes anything.

Strange happenings: Running Windows Server 2008 TTD65c and gmail for sending. Has been working fine since ,migrated tp 65c when it was released. 2 weeks ago all my us cellular and sprint customers stopped receiving the txt messages, but all other carriers where fine...as of 3 days ago, the only customers recieving the txt messages are cricket wireless. All customers on email have been unaffected and recieving as normal. TTD runs at a remote location that I will be visiting tomorrow. At that time, I will be able to view the log and see if any local issues and have more info. Anyone else ever experienced this?
