Just got a page a black box popped up for a couple of seconds, still no message or email.

I am comparing your output to my active system, and it does not appear that yours is even attempting to send email. I assume that you have verified your email settings within the application under "Edit Config Info"? I would expect that any error due to attempting to send email would also show in this output. I would almost like to break it just to verify

What OS? What Version of TwoToneDetect?

On a side note not related to this issue, I am not sure about the mail that you are using. If it works great, but I think that most people use 10digitnumber@vzwpix.com for Verizon MMS. Can anyone else confirm or correct me?

I am using version 56. Like you said it doesn't look like its even attempting to send email. I have set up the "Edit Config Info" as well. Kind of stumped!

Who is your carrier? Are you able to manually send email to your mypixmessages.com?
A couple things to try:

1. Clean up your tones.cfg file. Delete everything after the line: ;ADD MORE TONE SETS HERE USING THE SAME FORMAT AS ABOVE. You can also delete everything on the right side. Anything after a ; is to be ignored by the program. I suspect that some of the stuff at the bottom may be interfering.

2. Try using 207xxx@vzwpix.com to send to a verizon phone.

3. Delete lines with the example mail addresses.

4. Delete the lomgtone section if you are not using it.

5. You may have an issue with the config.cfg information. If your email login and password are not correct, that would easily prevent sending of emails. Use the edit configuration button and reenter the information. Don't try to encode your password, the program does that for you.

Good luck

I deleted everything that was not needed. I also tried to send an email twice to "207xxx@vzwpix.com" and never received the email using outlook. I tried "207xxx @mypixmessages.com and I did receive the email using outlook. Waiting for a tone to see what happens now. Thanks

What email provider are you using to send the emails? Gmail seems to work the best. Again, have you checked your TTD configuration for proper email username and password?

An email sent to 207xxx@vzwpix.com would be received on your cell phone, not in outlook on your computer. You are also sending to xxxx@firehousemail.com. Are those emails coming through?

Your debug copy and the tones copy don't match. Debug is trying to send to 207xxx, email@address.com, and anotheremail@address2.com. Your tones copy doesn't have the last two but does have a firehousemail.com address that doesn't show up in the debug. This makes me think that you might have two copies of the tones file or two copies of TTD running and you are editing the wrong one. Just a thought.

Save yourself the headache of waiting for pages. Attached are .wav files of your tone sets. Play them on your phone or another device. Disconnect the cable from your scanner into your computer and plug the earphone jack from your phone into the input. then play the sound files and the program will work just like it was hearing them from the scanner.
Attached Files
File Type: zip Archive.zip (113.1 KB, 16 views)

I am still not receiving any email or phone messages. I am using Gmail. I have it set on email port 465. It didn't work on port 587 either. I added the firehousemail.com and deleted the sample emails last night. I'll keep trying.

are the email messages showing up in the sent items folder in your Gmail account? You will need to log in to your Gmail account through a web browser, not Outlook to see if they are there. If they aren't there then TTD is not communicating with your email service. Look again at your configuration settings. If they are there, then the problem is receiving them on your phone.

Just checked Gmail on the web and there is nothing being sent out.

I compared your debug file to mine. It is basically the same up to the point:
done converting to MP3 18:31:51
mp3 email sent! 18:31:51

You don't get the email sent. This is what makes me think that your TTD is not communicating with Gmail. Can you copy the first few lines of your config.cfg file and send it to me?

I saw the same thing. I think I recall connections errors showing up in the debug output, but I meant to test this last night but setting an obviously incorrect value to see what I got. I will try to do this in a while.

Changed the email port back to 587 and sent the test page and it now works! Getting both phone message and email message. It wouldn't work yesterday.

Thanks again for all your help!!!

Wow, this is an awesome program, and at an awesome price! So let me first say THANKS.

Now with that said, I think I found a bug in version 56.
I'm running Windows XP with multiple sound cards (PCI and USB).
I purchased a (cheap ebay) USB sound card just for this application, and have a semi dedicated scanner setup just for this for testing. The problem I am having is that it seems it does not matter what sound card I select using programs "audio input device" and instead will always use Windows default sound card as programmed in Windows control panel.

Can anyone else confirm this?
It's not really a big deal now that I figured it out, just though I would pass it along.

Also a suggestion for future releases would be the option to have the file name of the recorded audio be something static. Thus the program would only keep the latest page on file as a recording (all old recordings would be overwritten).
The reason for this is I am thinking about making the audio output published in my web directory and publishing it on the internet. By just having one filename, the one file would always be the last page. Make sense?

You can do what you're wanting to do by using a batch file or other script along with the "post_email_command" parameter. Eventually I'll add the ability to insert the filename into the command, which will make it a little easier.
