Default Email Body Field

Andy,

Let me start out by saying I love the program and have been using it for over a year without any problems!
Is there a way that I can replace "page received" in the body of the automatic email with something else?

Thanks!

AJ

As of right now, no there is not. It's on the list for the future, but low priority.

There is no backdoor way to get into the programming to change the field?

You're free to grab the source code from v56 and modify it if you want. v57 and later are not open source.

I have V52. Can I do it with that version and if so, can you tell me how. Here is my problem, I use to have the audio files upload to Posterous for everyone to listen to the dispatch files. It worked great; however, they are shutting that site down for good. I am having trouble finding another site that I like that I can automatically upload the files like Posterous. The one site I found will do it, but in the body of the email, it needs to have a 4 digit pin number for security reasons for it to upload. So I need to change "Page Received" to a pin number. Either that or keep looking or a site that would host my files; but I really like the one that needs the code in the body of the email. If you can help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you!

AJ

Default New paging system

Andy,

I'd first like to thank you for creating such an excellent program. I have been using it for many months now with great enjoyment.

With that said though, my area just switched to a new CAD which uses a 4-tone system. I don't know if anybody else in the country has encountered this. Anyways; I wanted to inquire if it was possible to get your program to work with this system?

If you are unfamiliar with this setup; I would be happy to provide some recorded audio.

Find the file in your TTD folder with the extension .py. Open that file using a Text editor like Notepad. Do a find and replace for page received to insert your PIN. Then save it back to the same location with the sme name. You should rename the original file to save it as a backup. This MIGHT work.

Gfdfortynine, Thanks for all the help! Audioboos works well with what I wanted to do and I love the twitter/facebook link options! I would have never found that site. I looked for one like that for days without finding one I needed it for or one I liked. Thanks!

Regarding Audioboos, I set up an account, linked it to the facebook page, copied/pasted that ridiculous email address into TDD, Nothing is coming across. I sent a test file email to the address it posted fine. the log file in TDD shows mp3 file sent. (boomail is the only mp3 address in the list). I even tried running a separate instance of TDD just for boomail. Log showed mp3 email sent. My gmail outbox doesn't show anything for boomail either. Any clues??
(I'm running 58b with 16 fire depts set up and its working great, except this...) Thanx

Make sure the Bcc is not checked in your TTD edit config info tab.
I added 4 stations to my twitter last night and found it didn't work this morning either. I added it with note pad instead of the tones editor (because of the ridiculous address) so I assume that was my problem this morning. The TTD debug window didn't show the boomail email address sent. So I just restarted TTD hope it works now. I did some testing with all my stations tones off line and the twitter accounts were updated.

Remember the boomail address has to be the 1st, mp3 email address and no Bcc selected.

Just a quick follow-up concerning my recording issue where the recording skips a few seconds of audio after the B-tone. I downgraded to v56 and tone decoding and recording are working fine for me now. I made no changes to the radio, the computer or the tone file. I just copied over v56 executable and I am running it now.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm very satisfied with this program.

Can anyone help? I'm looking for a script to upload via FTP mp3 and amr files after tones.

Native support would be awesome still!

Why not run an ftp server on that computer?

Take a look at this and this to get started on a batch file to upload files automatically.

Default Newbie

This program is great Im fairly new at setting it up I've been using the tone editor debug to set my tones up. Really haven't figured out why you use a audio editor yet, still reading all 70 pages of this thread. I hooked this up the other day and I put my email in where it said mp3 email and put my number at mms atnt in the amr email section. Last night it tripped a tone set and emailed it to my email but no voice would play in the file. So last night I added my number at mms atnt to the mp 3 email along with my email address and leaving the amr alone and this morning I got s text alert with audio. So I guess this Is where the number email has to be in the mp3 email section. The only thing today's voice recording missed a few seconds of audio at the start is there any way to change a setting to capture the entire voice. Like I said I'm fairly new and I hope you guys don't mind with me asking stupid questions.

Thank you
Nick
