Recording while out

Without spending too much cash and borrowing the wife's PC, has anyone tried these small pocket sized voice activated recorders ? It would only be used for short length's of time while being out. The only draw back is most are battery operated only, any suggestion's ? Thank's

Get some good NiMah re-chargable batteries, and set the pocket recorder to record when audio is present.

That would be the cheapiest way, if I have to buy another lap top I might as well buy a portable - handheld scanner. It was just a thought, maybe someone else tried it, 10-4

There are voice activated recorders that will use AC power. The one that I have is the ICD-SX700. Unfortunately it might not meet criteria one that you listed.
