cross posting won't help, and it would be kind of hard to help you if you can't tell us what the problem is?

looks like pico.

Control + O to save. The key commands are at the bottom, the caret indicates "Control".

Thank you, So on this part, I don't think the store command is working.

Feed Setup and Configuration
Plug the USB sound card into the Raspberry Pi
Plug your scanner's headphone jack into the mic jack on the USB sound card dongle
Start alsamixer
pi@bcfypi1:~# alsamixer
press F6, choose the "USB Headphone Set" entry
press your tab key to select the "Capture" device volume control
use your "up arrow" key to adjust the level to it's lowest level possible (6)
press escape to exist alsamixer
run the following command to save the volume settings
sudo alsactl store

ok I think I got it going or all the commands right, but how do I test if it's going to broadcastify?

"alsactl store" (i don't use it so I don't recall, it's been a LONG time since i've voluntarily used alsa) ended silently. Many linux commands end slightly, don't always expect info back

The "#" vs "$" is the system prompt, ignore it. It's a character in a string command to help delineate the end of the prompt line. Some systems use it to differentiate between user level and admin level rights. If you don't know what level your rights are on that system, just type "whoami" - and you'll get your answer.

since I see you "sudo"ed that command, you're elevating appropriately.

Ok thank you. Do you use raspberry pi to provide a feed?

Anyone successfully setup a feed using one of the wiki articles on here?

It's working. The volume is really low though. I went back into alsamixer and moved the volume way up and it's still low. If you want to hear to see what I mean it's Sherwood Police and Fire in USA-Arkansas-Pulaski

Well it was working. I rebooted Pi to see if that would fix the volume. I did the start service command but it won't come back online. Any suggestions?
