Baltimore County 911 switched to the Seimens Tradeboard in 2001. Initially, every position in the center was outfitted with a tradeboard. That's 16 call takers, 8 fire dispatch positions, and 3 police dispatch positions. Then the county ran out of parts/money to keep them up and running, so the fire and police stations were pulled for spares/parts for call taker positions, and replaced with basic handset units.
The tradeboard is EXTREMELY functional/customizable. The admin there thought that only THEY could customize the boards from the master computer. I took it upon myself to create a new page on my board, including the local food establishments. This was frowned upon.
