MOCAD - Remote monitoring of VHF/UHF Quantar Repeaters???

Has anyone used MOCAD to remotely monitor the health of Motorola Quantar VHF/UHF repeaters?

I need to remotely monitor a large network of repeaters (without using phone lines) and VoIP their audio to a NOC. Experience anyone?

Its actually called MOSCAD... and I will ask the power that be about the VHF monitoring side. Its also used by another member on here on a larger type II 800MHZ system and maybe he will jump in...

One of the capabilities of MOSCAD is site monitoring, and it has become a part of the infrastructure installed in Mother Moto's systems. Since in a site monitoring capacity it's an Exception Reporting system, there's not much traffic, so in many systems, MOSCAD site monitoring is asigned its own TG. That would satisfy a wireless requirement for you.

My experience with MOSCAD is in analog and digital control and data systems such as used in water and sewer system controls and instrumentation and usually utilizes more than one TG or to a microwave link system, depending on how complex the need is and consequently how much traffic is passed. Comparatively speaking, site monitoring is a cakewalk compared to what MOSCAD is usually used for.

Some of the gurus here can perhaps steer you toward a person here as stated or someone near you who could probably answer the questions. Hope someone has at least PMd ya by now. If not, PM me and I'll hook you up with our system site gurus on the MOSCAD side.

Check out www.moscad.com. They might help you with your questions. I attended a school there, they are quite knowlegeable.

We use MOSCAD with our system, a 7 site, 15 channel, simulcast trunking. We have 94 alarms, more or less, per site. For our pipeline we use microwave .
