Something that I hope is an easy fix - the top blue toolbar in the forums area that has 'account, mobile, help, contact' has the text in blue on a blue background, making it really hard to read. That same position on the home pages of both the wiki and the site has the text in white.

Looks good so far. I've been doing some very basic checkouts on the wiki, and it seems we're good to go

Flush your cache in browser - I made some style sheet changes when I updated the fonts in the forums and your browser is still seeing the old one.

Thanks

It looks great here. The only problem is that I'm using a resolution WAY bigger than that. Any chance there can be different versions of the page for different resolutions?

Wayne and I are going to spend some time this week tweaking the forums - and the fonts. As I said, bear with us as we tweak and fix items.

The font sizes here in the forums are a concern for me as well. I'm looking into some changes.

Using Vista Home Premium/FF 3.0.6 and the only thing I miss is the ability to fill out my wide screen format. Besides that, looks good.

A suggestion; Although there's a button for premium subscriptions on the main page and links for both the premium subscriptions and web service in the front page of the wiki, there's nothing for it when you're in the forums. How about adding links to 'about' for both of those topics? 73 Mike

I'm sorry, but what you see implemented is what we are going forward with. This approach is very similar to other Web sites, such as facebook, twitter, etc.

Default Drop Downs

Anyone else have an issue with the drop downs in FF. They don't seem to work but work in IE7.

Is there a way to change the skin back to the old one? This version is too wide...

The fixed width is something that you get used to after a couple of days.

I didnt like it at first either, give it a week or so.

New threads in any of the forums are showing up in green, can that be changed to another colour?

Edit: After posting this it still goes back to the top of the forum instead of going to your new post to the bottom.

It can be changed to any color - but I'm thinking green looks ok... any other ideas?

Perhaps what it was before? I do not remember what color new posts were before - I just know that the first time I went to the forums and saw the new posts, the color of the green was so distractive to my eyes in contrast to everything else on the page that it was hard for me to focus my attention on exactly what the subjects actually said.

Personally, I'm thinking it would be better to have it some color of blue - or some way to make it less contrasting while still standing out.

Personally I liked the bold vs thin. I don't care for the green. My taste would be to have the UNREAD in bold blue and the READ in thin red.

The green does the job, but I agree is not as aesthetically pleasing as the Dark Blue was.

I think the issue might be better addressed by lightening up or graying out the read threads instead of working on the unread threads.
I am very sure there is no perfect solution since we are getting into personal preferences.
Maybe you had it right the first time with the font difference rather then a color difference, but make the font change more noticeable. Just a thought.
