Angry Disapointment with RR 4.0

Although RR 4.0 is a cleaner more appealing version of previous editions, this posting concerns a problem I'm having with accessing RR 4.0 via a web enabled cell phone.

Previously, I was able to perform all database functions/capabilities on my cell phone that could be performed on a desktop or laptop computer. The only exception was clickable maps were not available (this was not a major concern as a list of states and counties could be accessed from another location on the website). I could access or download the FCC Databases, read Forum postings/Wiki and send updates. The new version does not have these capabilities. After clicking on the subject tabs (Reference Database, Discussion Forums etc.), nothing happens. I have tried the Mobile option on the top of the page, however only the database is available and it's extremely limited in terms of capability. Searches cannot be performed, data cannot be downloaded, Forums and Wikis cannot be accessed. The new version has severely reduced my ability to access data when using my cell phone browser.

Has anyone else experienced similar conditions? If others are experiencing the same issues, will a program update be available?

Sorry to hear that Transitman. Just to let you know that I am not experiencing any issues on my iphone, actually the site looks great and everything works as it should, even the database.

What browser are you using on your phone? Have you tried the Opera Mini version? I have a Sanyo running RR Mobile and have no issues.

Are you using the Mobile version of RR at RR Mobile instead of the regular version?

They both work fine for me on my phone, but the mobile version is so much faster.

fwiw, I don't have a smartphone, just a regular web enabled LG eNv.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Maybe I'm the only one experiencing this problem.

I use a Samsung phone equipped with the Windows operating system (not sure what it's called). I did notice that when the homepage is displayed on the screen, a "padlock" appears next to the user ID. I was able to log in, however when "clicking" on the subject tabs, nothing happens.

I'm really perplexed as the previous version operated flawlessly and no changes/updates were made to my cellphone.

We have some planned updates to the mobile version of the site, including better database integration (searches, FCC info etc) as well as a mobile version of the forums currently being investigated.

Gee, a response from the "Big Guy." I'm not worthy!!! Anyway, it appears that I'm locked out of the program because a padlock appears next to the login. Can someone explain why?

Default Same results. Try the direct links further down the page.

Transmitman,

I'm having the same results using an AT&T Tilt (by HTC) running Windows Mobile 6. The menus that require two clicks (first opens the menu, second selects the option) don't respond for me either.

Try this:
Scroll down the home page and look for the "Discussion Forums" link with a green triangle in the top left corner. That's a direct link and it works fine for me. The other green arrow links are direct ones too.
