Default new pulldown selections

Many times we (and I mean this collectively) tell folks about the subscription process and the web service, but have to jockey back to the main page (or the wiki) to get information. This is a common newcomer question, and it happens enough that I decided to make a suggestion about it - which has now been answered.

Thanks to el Jefe (Lindsay), we now have entries under the 'about' pulldown for both subscriptions and the web service. So whe you talk to someone about these services, please point them in this direction. It will help get them acclimated to the new layout as well, so there's a small side benefit.

73 Mike

If you use a no-script blocker, you will have to allow yahooapis.com for the links to work.

Thanks for that; perhaps that's the issue I have with Firefox (which has a built in popup blocker)...73 Mike

If you use FF, try https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 The default is to allow no scripts until you assess the risk on each sight. I have it set to allow scripts for RR. You can allow only one IP address on a page full of adds to run, or all of them. It's fairly powerful safe guard, which is different than allow pop-ups

I am using FF and NoScript 1.9.1. I allow all scripts FROM the original sight, the addresses of the 3rd party sites that are trying to run scripts are individually listed and automatically blocked. I can select to allow individual sites, some sites are permanently selected as untrusted on all sites such as google-analytics, quantserve, revsci, tacoda, etc. Depends on your settings.
