Default Another Happy RadioReference Customer ;)

Today's installment of unhappy customer comes from "Tom". Tom sent me this lovely message this morning:

Quote:
Your "premium" subscription has been NO help to me at all. It fact it has messed up my computer and caused me to lose frequency data I already had in files. I have NO intention of ever renewing my subscription. I will go back to entering data in the old fashion manual way which although time consuming it has always worked.
What a rip off!!
I love happy customers!

I think it is a case of : hastiness/negligence on the part of the user.

I hope these unsatisfied people are few and far between but with a membership of 200K + it's bound to happen once in a while.

Its almost tempting to make people fill out a questionnaire or quiz form before they're able to purchase a premium membership.

That and he said not to renew his subscription, didn't say the magic word of refund.

I think this website is a ripoff too!! That is why I re upped my subscription so I can be taken for at least another year. Boy the database services really suck. It installed everything I could ask for and more onto my computer and my BCT15 without me having to do anything to it.

I didn't have to lift a finger and searching for new frequencies is way to easy. I'm going back to doing it manually. Yes it might be time consuming, but at least it will be much more difficult on me. The more difficult it is the less time I have to visit this website. I am going to go back and searching for frequencies via the FCC website because it is so darn more inconvenient!!!

Similarly Boeing is a ripoff company as well!!! How dare they build sophisticated line of aircraft that my private pilots license doesn't allow me to fly! The nerve.

How does a website cause one to lose frequency data they already have?

A PM means it is a private message. Shouldn't you keep things thinks like private? Just wondering.

He did keep it private. That's the purpose of changing the complainants name to "Tom". (That's the reason for the quotation marks are around the name). The anonymity and identity of the person that complained is 100% secure.

On another note... I've always found it amusing when people blame their own lack of basic intelligence on something else. "Tom" obviously isn't smart enough to use the very simple features, so he has to blame his ignorance on the website.

Says he sent a message, didn't say anything about it being a PM, could have been an email, phone or even an instant message.

This kind of reminds me of back when I did some IT support...a user wanted to know where her project was after she formatted the 3.5" floppy it was on.

OUCH heheh. that's like the guy that called me at 3 AM, he was upset because his machine wouldn't boot. I got there to find he was running out of HD space, and to make room he started deleting files. He deleted his autoexec.bat, himem.sys, config.sys etc............

Some people shouldn't be allowed to own a computer
