Default Mac and RR

Hello,
I just bought a new Mac and parts of the RR site do not display properly. Specifically the front page and the tool bars. Any thoughts or ideas how I could fix it.
Thanks,
Chris

My Mac works fine on RR using Safari.

Zero troubles here.

Same here. Safari and Firefox on my Mac. Both render RR.com just fine!

I started with Safari and am having the same problems with Firefox. The toolbar shows up as plain text and the links are at the bottom of the page. Strange......I'm assuming that I have something turned off but I have about 2 hours of Mac experience so I can't find it!

Someone here may be able to help, but I always find great help at MacRumors.com.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I have noticed that it's not just RR but other sites as well.

I know this doesn't help at all, but I am also running Safari (4.0.3) on a <ducking under desk> Vista machine with no issues. I am really hooked on the "Top Sites" presentation for the opening page.

Yeah, it sounds like your settings somewhere. I've been running FFox on the Mac for several years with no problems. I also tried it w/Safari and (of all things) Explorer for Mac (old and unsupported now), all show RR fine on my machine. I suspect that mrkelso may be on the right track with your answer.

Thanks for all of the ideas. I have the display images when page opens checked in both Safari and Firefox. I have been looking into the preferences and page info but I can't find anything to turn on that seems to fix it.

I utilized a proxy, which was suggested in another forum and it works fine! I called the Apple ask an expert and within 5 minutes he had a solution. The DNS had an issue which we fixed over the phone. This further solidifies my reasoning for purchasing a Mac, great customer service. I received the call from them within 1 minute of hitting the send button.
Thanks again for all of your suggestions.
Chris
