Any chance of upping the amount of search results to a larger number then 500? We have all of this great info on this site but yet we can't go back far enough for some older research.
I feel your pain sometimes. A search on a fairly popular subject will run out pretty quick. The reason for that is when you search for a term (say "APCO") it finds the most recent 500 times it is used. If it is used multiple times in a thread (or indeed a single post) each instance is another count toward that 500.
This is not the answer you want, but a partial solution is use the "archive" and search it using a Google site search. For example the following:
Code:
APCO site:http://www.radioreference.com/forums/archive/
Will provide almost 90 returns and the oldest topic being from
July of 2002. There is some duplication of the results (because a title will appear twice, once as the topic and once in the index of that forum) using this method and the most recent (past few days) does not appear, but a combination of the forum search and the Google search will get you all the references at least.
