Site Outage Problems (03/28/2007)

Folks,

Our Wiki and Images server is down and currently being worked on, so we are experiencing an outage.

I don't expect to be able to have the server up until tomorrow evening, so we are going to experience problems across the radioreference.com domain until Friday evening.

Bear with me as we resolve this issue.

1. Wiki Server
2. Subscription / Resubscription Service
3. Most images (buttons, smilies, etc)

Would a temporary image server be of use?

probably not since all of the images have paths that lead to the server. to host the images temporarily on another server would require to go in and change the url paths of each image to point to the temp server.

It's a real good thing that the site is very light on imagry so it's not affected all that much..

My hope was that the system does not have hard coded image locations but has a configuration file that indicates where the images are... as such, a switch to a different image server should be a trivial matter.

Or, a simple DNS change is the config file does not apply.

Well , at the present time 333 individuals and myself do not seem to mind as we are browsing and replying on the forums.
I'm sure we can rough it for a while.
