    Baofeng Programming UV-5RTP with CHIRP

Been looking for answers for a while for this but can't find a solution. The closest thread I found was this, but it seems like the OP got help outside the forum with a change to the .img file. I have a UV-5RTP that I'm dusting off after not using it for a while. I'm trying to edit the...

    Baofeng Baofeng DMRs - Alphanumberic?

Does anyone know if the Baofeng DMRs (DM-1701, DM-1702, DM-1801, DM-X) allow alphanumeric tagging of the channels (or whatever the equivalent is called in the DMR world)? Some ancillary questions: Besides the ones I listed above, are there any other Baofeng DMRs? Which Baofeng DMR seems to be...

Baofeng Reverse Burst On Baofeng DM-1701

I just programmed my DM-1701 with an analog channel with CTCSS 67.0. There is a squelch tail at the end of the transmission, I checked the box that says 'Reverse Burst' in the CPS software. And set the QT reverse to Silent, there is no change to the squelch tail.

Hello all! I need some help. I'm trying to find my way around this radio, and to be honest, I believe I have managed to erase all the channels that a friend programmed in for me by trying to add a frequency as a channel manually. Anyway, I am no longer able to switch back and forth between...

Hello all, Just wondering if it was possible to have an Aux cable coming from a phone, that runs into my Baofeng radio and then transmit the audio? Like instead of the mic picking up me talking, it would pick up the phone audio output. Using for a special event to broadcast on speakers...

Looking into the baofeng 888s as a budget friendly fire pager/scanner for a VFD. Price point and lack of features (aka buttons for people to press and mess something up) are very attractive. Hello, I recently purchased a Baofeng BF-F9V2+. I do not have any licenses yet. After reading multiple forums, it seems that it would be illegal for me to transmit on FRS frequencies. However, from the FCC website, my understanding is that FRS channels are free to use so long as the...
