• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

    CTA BLUE Line monitoring

I was wondering if it is possible to set a live audio feed for the Chicago Transit Authority transit like the Blue line control to listen in if there are delays or express trains???

    CTA Radio Frequencies

I pass through Chicago while going on band trips & vacation. What frequencies used by the Chicago Transit Authority are used the most & what time are they the most active. Also does the Securitas frequency 464.8000 get alot of activity since they are contracted for the CTA.

Audio Feed for CTA Blue line

How can you get an audio feed for the CTA Blue line. I would want to listen to this just in case there is an emergency. The CTA do not give us any info on the train and I am type of guy who is interested in what is going on. I do have a scanner and use that but the iPhone is easier to get.
