Unhappy Still fighting the war, even at home.

Posting this in case you haven't read about the solider who was made famous by the so called " Zinn photo". This is incredibly sad. It seems to me that there isn't enough help on PTSD. I keep hearing about the lack of this kind of help all the time.

It really is sad. Once he got into huffing solvents, it was just a matter of time before it got him. All casualties of war do not occur on the battlefield.

The worst scars of war are those you cannot see and those that you can't accept in your own head,remove from your memories, or share with the majority of people. Nothing has changed - just spoken about more since Nam.

This is not a new problem. Veterans of the Civil War suffered from this.

And unfortunately the British Army's "treatment" for the symptoms was in some cases being sent in front of a firing squad.
