Thanks. I had heard of the scam last year as well. Guess with it being T1 filing time coming up CRA wanted to remind everyone.

Still, the English used in the letter is terrible. It was quite obvious to me it wasn't official.

I guess the folks who are trying to pull this crap are from somewhere that the native tounge is not english.

What I was told was that the letter was being directed to recent immigrants whose command of the language was pretty poor but still good enough that they would fall for the scam.
