Lightbulb More public money hard at work

And we wonder why people can't afford education......

A University of Minnesota "study" found that most of the salt used for de-icing roads is ending up in lakes and rivers.

Road salt spreading into our water

Really????? Where else do they think it's going to go?

I wonder how many millions of dollars they spent on this.

Isn't that rich! You mean the salt faries don't come along every night and pick it up to make fairy dust????

Next they will be telling us that most of the water that evaporates ends up in the clouds!!!!!

Not to mention that depending on the frequency of use, salt reduces the life of the concrete and steel in a bridge structure by more than 1/2. And people wonder why the infrastructure is in such terrible shape.
