Default Speech tonight

President Obama will have a prime time speech tonight. I'll be watching, what about you?

I'll read the highlights on CNN or similar news website afterwards. I hate watching speeches.

Not to big on speeches, caught him on the news yesterday about the helo's. His response was actually pretty funny. he stated his helicopter was adequate, but he didn't know as he never had on before, so he may have been deprived in life. Formal speeches are just that to stuffy. I would venture to say that we wont have to much choice as to watching it, it will hog up the channels and the news after that for a while

It will be on every channel, and probably be more entertaining than any of the prime time garbage the networks put on tv and call entertainment. I'll probably catch most of it.

It will be interesting to see how he works on lowering expectations, after promising the world in the campaign and realizing that we are now in WORSE shape than we were then, with the stock markets, business and investors HATING his ideas, and some governors refusing his money because of the strings attached.

Because of the job losses / foreclosures homes in my city are now worth half of what they were two years ago. Unemployment is at an all time high too, it's bad here, I mean really bad. I personally feel that we have the worst economy since the depression, nothing else was even close.

I don't like speeches because they are not of the orator's origination. They are all written by speechwriters with degrees in psychology and public relations.

I would rather be watching the Mentalist, that's the time slot that he will be filling with hot air tonight.

I'll be watching the Boston Bruins hopefully break out of their mini-slump. Sports offers a look at man's achievements. The Messiah's speech will be replete with nothing but failure.

I think they need to have an award show like the Oscars for politicians. Give them something to shoot for, fine tune their acting skills.

"Replete with failure", then you should be accustomed to the theme from the last 8 years and should be able to stomach it.

Funny how you missed the point, Ray...that's a rarity for you. I'll let you try to puzzle out what I meant. It's more fun that way. As a hint, the words "doom and gloom" may ring a bell. I was only talking about the last almost 5 weeks of the eight years you refer to.

Oh wait...I'm providing too many hints.

Go B's!

CONFIDENTIAL:

During this address by The Big O, the U.S government Psyops Division will be testing the use of subliminal messaging during his televised address.

Images will be flashed for a fraction of a second which will not be perceptive to the naked eye. Specially encoded ("diced") audio will also be used.

The theme of the subliminal messaging will be "There is no recession, everything is fine, do as we say".

HAARP antennas will also be operating in high power mode to supplement the subliminal messaging with proven mind control techniques.

The purpose of this mass broadcast is indoctrination. DO NOT,I repeat DO NOT watch this nationwide address or else the government will OWN your mind! The signal from the HAARP antenna array will activate the RF control processor chip in your brain that was put there when you were born. We're talking permanent U.S government mind control through HAARP. This is almost just like what happened in the movie Naked Gun!!

If you must watch the speech it is advisable to wear a welding mask or welding goggles to block the encoded video signals and a helmet made of RF-absorbing material at least 1/2" thick (layers of Wi-fi blocking wallpaper will do).

Unlike that detail-driven document which will be delivered to congress on Thursday, I would expect tonight's address will be broad, spelling out what He wants and how He will do it.

To insure partisan politics, I'm sure He will remind America that this is a problem He inherited from George Bush.

Since the porkulas package has passed, I don't think additional fear mongering will be necessary, but probably thrown in for good measure.

Any thoughts about how the markets are going to react tomorrow?

Fear mongering is very effective. The Bush administration perfected it and Obama recently used it to pass the B.S stimulus bill. What did he say , something like if we don't pass this bill, this crisis will become a catastrophe?

I try not to get mad because we already crossed the fail-safe line, the point of no return.

Isn't it a little early for a SOTU address ?
I mean he's been around a little over a month.

Gotta get my wordtracker going to see which word or words he utters the most.

Absolutely correct. After all, that's how Obama was elected, and how he got his porkulus bill passed. He's on a roll... maybe he and his compliant Congress will pass HR45, bringing CA's ludicrous firearms laws (and then some) to the rest of the Union.
