Anyone really know their marbles?

Just sort of curious if anyone collects marbles. Knows the history sort of thing. I mostly want to find out about the specific sizes of marbles made out there. Anyone out there that are familar with different size marbles give a shout back. I like the way they look and some seem to have awesome patterns such as katseyes.

Thanks, Sig. I was just curious on the subject. It be impossible to figure out the design on my marble. I just thought it looked cool.

Yeah, loved to play marbles in school! The stupid California Liberal school I went to decided that it was "like gambling." So that was forbidden. Then we played with pogs! . Then that was banned.

Time went on and moved to poker.

Can you believe the principal even had banned us kids from using the monkey bars?

Then the "smog alerts."

I'm glad I'm out of that hell hole now. Just look how their government is doing, yet off shore oil drilling could fund their budget problems.
