Nobody is being forced to go look at this group and if you do not like the concept or its "looks" then ignore it. Since you have no idea as to content or purpose of this group your attack is not only wrong but makes no sense! I wonder since I don't know either of you is it me or God that makes you so mad? Many of us have strong religious beliefs so your point is poorly taken and your inane deprecation of anyone's beliefs is insulting - just because you were reminded that this is solely a forum for the scanning hobby. We are strongly encouraged here to refrain from putting unpaid advertisements on the site; however well-intentioned. You owe the poster an apology for this breach of common Judeochristan tolerance and site etiquete. Begin to practice what you preach.

This was left on a site I moderate and I have removed it.I don,t beleive in putting things up about Religion or even Politics for that fact.It is not radio related,and It causes to many arguments.Just my own 2 cents.

I would take no offense to that. I don't take offense to this thread, but I don't think that the original poster was trying to make people become christians (Or i don't see it in the post anywhere).

From the looks of the link, my impression was that he intended to use amateur radio, among other things, to preach the word of Christianity.
From the yahoo site:

Now perhaps I'm misguided, but to me, "spreading the word of God" isn't about Christians rejoycing with Christians, it's about proselytizing. Attempting to convert others. This goes against the spirit of amateur radio, and will cause problems as sure as the racists on CB spouting their hate for minorities does.
I admit I'm curious how you'd use a scanner to spread the word of God, but if you're willing to ship me a BCD-996T, I'll read any religious messages you put in the box with it.
I wasn't trying to throw stones, and certainly didn't want to cause trouble. But when you post something like that in a public forum and ask for people to look at it, then expect comments. And while nobody is forcing me to subscribe to the group, please remember that if you start preaching on the air, then you ARE making yourself hard to ignore.

Got a personal message from this clown. Guy does not practice what he preaches and states that his detractors in this thread all hate God. He is not worthy of further comment. I don't want these people knocking on my door nor giving me the "Get Right with God" here on the net. Like most of us, I am comfortable with my own beliefs and will not change for these "people".

Just becuase I am an agnostic doesnt mean I cannot respect and admire a man who chose a differnet path then me as far as his spirituality goes.
And my son asked me yesterday who chesty is as I do say goodnight to that man every night.
