Default Listening habits?

I am listing this under the Michigan category as well because I thought the area may have a factor. What is most of the listeners' habits as what to listen to? If you could list a first and second that would be great. statewide trunking systems, Milair, local PD etc?

Thanks for your replies.

I do the majority of my listening while driving. I am in my car for many hours out of each day and drive across several county lines. I will usually switch counties in the scanner as I cross the various lines. Depending on the distance I am from my home county- I usually leave it on too.

In my home county I listen to the local police zone, county fire and ems, medical helicopters.

In the surrounding counties just fire, ems and medical helicopters.

I rarely have time to listen to my scanners regularly. I record my Parish Fire Dispatch TG and local Fire Dept Fireground TGs using Scanner Recorder software. I copy the files to a flash drive and take them to work with me. When things get slow I bring the files up on my laptop and listen to the recorded audio. Since Scanner Recorder records in VOX mode I can leave it on for 24 hours but only have about 10 minutes of audio on average to listen to.

likewise, i don't listen much, but i record my local pd/fire dept on my pc 24/7, but when i listen 99% of the time its ems/medical heli/fire, if anything is going on, 90% of the time they are talking about it unless its an armed robbery, but that happens to often to pay much mind to it anyway, but the shootings, stabbing and such, all on ems,and ofcourse big accidents and fires on fire dept....

When I was back home I would usually run my BC350C scanning PD and EMS. When things got really quiet I would turn on the Pro 83 and scan the surrounding towns' PDs. When things got busy, I would leave the BC350C on PD and have the Pro 83 scan EMS as well as the surrounding PDs with EMS on Priority.

Here at college I brought my BC350C, so I listen to the local city PD and University PD, and occasionally the fire dept.

Who cares? We are here to ask questions and learn stuff. Just because someone asked a similar question a year ago or whatever doesn't mean that the subject can not be brought up ever again.
