ACLU is a racist organization
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070823/..._sagging_pants
Seriously, how does indecency in public become a race issue? (read article)
Im sure the NAACP and Jesse & Al will weigh in soon too.

She is right, it probably won't survive a court challenge, but what I like is the inaccurate second sentence quoted above. Indeed although it appears that the "black youth culture" adopted it, it came from the prison system...I wonder how many people would have picked it up so fast had they known how it came about in the prison system.

Well maybe this place has it right because theirs is in force and I like the penalties on it, hopefully it's enforced in the jail too...
Delcambre, La., passed an ordinance that carries a fine of up to $500 or six months in jail for exposing underwear in public
There is one problem I see.... they may need to put in an exception for medics who cut off your clothes to work on you or you might get locked up while your unconsious

If people did not do stupid things, or enact foolish laws, there would be no need for public safety officials nor any justification for the radicalized actions of the ACLU. While our hard-won freedoms must be protected against intrusion, Walt Kelly's Pogo said it best, "We have met the enemy and he is us." It is unfortunate that prior conscious thought is not a requirement for legislative action and it is we that must live with the end-result that is ill-conceived. I am no supporter of the ACLU for I believe that they are self-serving and self-promoting to the detriment of the overwhelming majority of Americans and the mainstream of our values.

Indianapolis schools have started a dress code because of this issue. A lot of kids are still not in school because they either can't afford the uniforms or cannot find them. Stores are sold out and have been for two weeks, when school started.
The ACLU claimed they were going to sue but have yet to do so, apparently they have backed down on the issue.
Now if Indy or even the state would have a dress code that covers this it would be great. It should also cover clothes with certain language on them. There is nothing like going to a school to shoot an event and some idiot is wearing a F_ _ _ You tshirt around little kids ... and they wonder why kids end up the way they do.....

I still don't understand how showing one's underwear is indecent? tacky yes, but indecent? I can understand schools having dress codes for class but a city inacting a city wide dress code? come on!!! What's next, people will have to wear full clothing in swimming pools? Women cannot breast feed an infant outside their home without fear of violating an ordinance?
I agree that this is not a race issue, this is a freedom issue!

I think it looks stupid and it will blow over in a few years, but one thing is those baggies are not conducive to running away when somebody is chasing you. I witnessed some taggers get caught when one couldn't keep his pants on while running.
As far as the ACLU, I have seen them take cases on both sides; so it depends on "Whose Ox is being gored" If they are on my side it saves money on the lawyer bills. otherwise, screw em too--

Headline Hording Kook Central… This is about Quality of Life. Standard’s have yet to reach rock bottom but were on a collision course. No, you can’t smoke weed in public, No you can’t be drunk in public, No you can’t smoke on campus. No you can’t be half naked in public. Yes, you look like a retard with your pants around your ankles.

hanging around with your pants falling down and your underwear showing is, bluntly, disrespectful of society in general, and certain groups feel this is their way to show disrespect, some whites do it, but very few and they do it because they want to fit in with the "cool blacks", yet they all look like idiots. Blacks make being disrespectful towards society a full time job, and most of these people are not working, but dealing drugs and shooting at each other..... thats real cool. They all use the excuse they can't get hired etc. Well yeah, you come in looking like that I wouldn't hire you either, white or black. So whats left, stand on the corner sell drugs and call all the females bitches and whores, more disrespect. Then let Don Imus call the same women nappy headed hoes and all hell breaks loose! What's fair is fair, if you can call em hoes so can Don, so can I, don't go whinning and say it's societies fault, get over it, put on some pant that FIT, act like you deserve respect and you'll get it, until then... shut up and quit playing the race card, it's getting old!
