OK, let's hear it. and NOTHING that can TX! Scanners only!

I'll start: RS Pro-528 - built like a rock! Dropped many times, still works like new.

I think I'll agree with you about the 528. I have one and despite the bad mouthing it gets on here for not having Alpha Tags or PL capability, I must say it's a pretty nice scanner.

With a Diamond RH77CA, it's a completely different animal. The stock duckie dosen't do the scanner justice.

I've said it a million times, but I'll throw it in again just for funsies, Side by Side, same antenna, same frequencies, my Pro-528 rivals my Bearcat 396T in performance. I wish I still had my Pro-97 to compare to the 528 with the RH77CA. That would have been a test! My old Pro-97 had about as hot a' recieve as anything I've ever owned.

Pound for pound, I still think the Pro-528 is my favorite. For the price when it's on sale, you can't beat the value with a stick, and the performance is awesome for the price you pay.

I'll have to say the Pro-96,the digital quality is the best I've heard out of any scanner I've owned.Ive owned a 396,996,BC250d,UBC3300xlt,BC785d,and a BC796,although these are good scanners and wish the Pro-96 had some of the features the others have,I find the Pro-96s reception and audio is much better.

OK OK no one laugh. My favorite scanner is the Pro-83. Receives conventional freqs better with the 4" stock ducky than the Pro-97 with a 6" stock ducky. Much more sensitive on UHF too.. A LOT less hiss from the speaker than the Pro-97. So the Pro-83 is my favorite right now for me because most of my area is still conventional.
