What's my best buy?

I have a choice of 3 for the following to do the following:

I WANT TO:
1. Have mobile internet anywhere there is a hot spot
2. Have GPS to know where I'm going (walking not driving) but also for warwalking

OPTIONS:
1. The ASUS MyPal A639 with GPS included for at least $400
2. The Garmin GPSMap 60C(S)X for $300 and just carry my Compaq Presario Laptop around
3. ASUS EEE PC for at least $300 with GPS.

If you feel I should just get the GPS with my laptop but feel I should get a cheaper GPS, just post that in your reply. I only need to find my way in places like NYC, Atlantic City, NJ, and other places I go on vacation. Also, I want it for warwalking. It doesn't have to speak but I find it cool if it would.
