Johnson City, TN - New Digital Radio System : 4:05 to 6:23

Johnson City's new digital radio system will cost the City nearly $5,000,000.00 and local and county agencies hundreds of thousands of dollars.

System, New Tower, and Radio's for JC city users are within the 5 million dollar estimate.

$600,000.00 to $700,000.00 cost for just the Washington County, TN Sheriff's Office alone, with radios costing approximately $2,700.00 each.

Expected online November 2009.

So are they fully digital now or are they still in transition? Any frequencies changed? Keep us up to date.

We havent started the transition yet. Should be all done by Fall 09.

ahhh my bad, "corrected" '2009' Has anybody found out any more info ...I did a search and couldnt find any new licenses or admin updates to their current... theres not a peep about it on the net.
