Up here in Michigan, when the MPSCS TRS, went from Astro 4.1 to 5.1, all of the talkgroups changed as the new system came online in each zone. None of the new talkgroups matched up to the divide by 16 rule. It all depends on how the system technicians do the changeover.

Rome/Floyd Co GA went with Harris.
Not all switches from SmartZone 4.XXX systems to Astro 7.XXX followed the "divide by 16" rule but it does seem to be a common methodology. It's how Atlanta and Savannah GA also made the transition with Motorola Smart X to bridge the systems until complete switch over.

Unhappy

I've built a home brew 800Mhz antenna in hopes of picking something up from the TRVS system. The nearest site is Hinch Mountain, which is about 24 miles from my QTH.

So far I've heard nothing. Is that site transmitting? If so, what frequencies? want to help others listen to this system, but so far, haven't found anything.

Help!
