Default Tenn Highway Patrol

Can anyone in Memphis listen to TN Hwy patrol? I'm just across the river in AR and I cannot hear anything. I'm using the freqs. 42.*** and a couple of 15*.*** off TN section of RR. Are these still valid or is tower too far away? Just wondering?

42.560 is the Frequency used for the Memphis District. Where are you in Arkansas? There are two VHF repeaters that broadcast the dispatch audio that is on the lowband. The troopers are on lowband. There are several receiver sites within the district that link back to Memphis via microwave or phonelines. The Memphis Mutual Aid channel is 154.755. You may hear some traffic on it if there is a car in Memphis and not wanting to use lowband or is in a fringearea. The Arlington Highband Channel is 155.430 That is where you can hear the 42.560 dispatch audio. There is another highband repeater near Ripley if my memory serves right it is set up the same way. It is on 158.730. There is a Lowband repeater in memphis for Car to car on 45.6600 but it is rarely used. Also Arlington has a lowband repeater on 45.700. I hope this helps. You may be too far to receive the dispatch traffic. I have the 42.560 on my scanner feed for Fayette County TN at www.scanamerica.us

I'm just across the river in Marion. I've tried the lowband with no success. I'll try the highband freq. Thanks!
