I have a curious question, Why is there a listing for American Electric Power
in the Tennessee database? I seen where there was a site that
covered the Kingsport area, but for some reason they have it
listed as a state-wide system. Even listed as a trunk system in
my county (Cocke) which does NOT have any trunk system of
any kind. I am pretty sure Tennessee is serviced by TVA, not
American Electric Power.
Is this a typo that needs to be brought to the Administrators attention
or am I mistaken?
Thanks,
Danny

The AEP system is now assigned just to Sullivan County in Tennessee. The system was assigned "statewide" in all the states it covers as a result of the administrators not knowing what all the appropriate individual counties are. If you can identify just the appropriate counties for a system in a state then please submit that information via the "Submit Changes" button and we will update the system accordingly.

The site you are asking about is 150 miles away from the Tennessee state line and it is hard for someone to help you from that distance.
I did notice one thing in your post though, you have the frequency 857.4125 listed twice.
Remove it from LCN3 and re-do the list from there, should be like this:

System Freqs:
856.4125
857.4125
858.4125
859.4125
856.3125
860.9125

Looking at the database, you are going to have to find the correct LCN for the site you are monitoring. Looks like you will have one of the freqs on LCN 8 being the talkgroups in your area are on that channel number.
That's about all I can offer, sorry.
One other thing, Fleet Maps are NOT used in EDACS systems, that is for Motorola Type I trunking only.

If I recall, AEP is upgrading from EDACS to OpenSKY? If this is the case, thy can not be monitored by any scanner, or software currently.

Unknown as to if the FULL system will go OpenSKY yet, but the entire northern tier of the Midwest has converted. It has to upgrade to either OpenSKY, Harris's P25IP, or Motorola ASTRO-25 since EDACS is going away. And seeing as how they already went Harris OpenSKY for one tier, it isn't too much of a leap to use an educated guess as to how the whole network will go. I would love someone to monitor and see just what is going on in the eastern/southern tiers of the AEP net.
