Default Best Scanner For Memphis/Shelby Co. System

Curious as to what is the latest/greatest radio to monitor the Memphis/Shelby County system? Last radio I used was the BC-396T. Not a bad radio but the audio left a lot to be desired. The adjustment procedure was a nightmare. I also found that mine required a VERY strong signal to sound decent. In East Memphis, signals were very weak. I tried a variety of antennas.

I'm wonder about the new XT, the PSR-500 and even the Uniden Home Patrol.

Thanks for the input and your patience.

I would have to go with the PSR500/600 or the Radioshack equivalent. Something about the audio quality and ease of use of these scanners. You can't beat them. Especially while Radioshack has their brand on sale right now.
