Post Radio Shack Pro 96 programing

I am in Ringgold, GA needing help with programing my Radio Shack Pro 96.
Is there anyone in Chattanooga area willing to help?
Or can walk me through the process?

Respectfully,
Thank you,
Bill

See PRO-96 Software - Win96 - Data Management Software for the RadioShack PRO-96 and PRO-2096 Digital Trunking Scanners
Will tell you everything you need to know, and it does just about everything for you..
You'll need to invest $35-40 in a programming cable.
Program works free for 30 day trial period.

Hello wheckathorn
Is your PM disabled?
It doesn't appear to be working.

Radio Shack usually stocks the cable. However, there's been some suggestion that some stores are no longer stocking scanners and accessories. BTW, if you purchased your Pro96 used, someone may have decided to sell it because of a failed data interface. I have heard of instances of that happening. At one time, some of the radio shacks would plug the radio into their computer and program it for you. If you can find one that will do that, it might be a wise choice to confirm that the interface works, before investing in a cable.

I purchased this Pro 96 brand new from Dalton, GA Radio Shack, I had problems with programming.
I called every Radio Shack in Dalto and Chattanooga. I found one man at Radio Shack on Brained Rd.
When Chattanooga changed system and frequencies, I return to find he retired because of health problems.

We miss listening to the scanner, Radio Shack does not list the catalog as a part #.

I turned on PM's, sorry Codeplug.

Thank you all,
Bill

As an alternative, we have 4 articles in our wiki that describe how to program the 96 (and it's brother the 2096) here...(anything blue is a link)
