Default Maryville/Alcoa

Picked up a ID few days ago on p25 with pro106 came in on freq. 773.93125 as 15213 from greentop in sevier co. Data base has it as TN. Wildlife Resources but im hearing it as Alcoa or Maryville PD. Some streets sound familiar to me when they get dispatched. Thought someone in that area might listen in and see what they get. Also got two more still trying to get more on them, can hear them better at night for some reason. Hope I did not miss it in database somewhere if so my bad

City or county agencies tend to be grouped together in the ID range when one becomes active on the system.
It looks like Blount county is grouped around the 10000 numbers for their ID's.
While it's not impossible for an agency to have a 'wild' talkgroup ID, I would believe the talkgroup is the Wildlife Resource Agency, they just happen to be in the Mayrville area when they were talking.
Perhaps someone else could chime in...
Happy scanning.

My buddy works for Maryville Pd and said they went to the new system. He keyed up his car radio and the old Maryville Pd channel was dead and has been removed from my radio.

Post Maryville/Alcoa

Guess you could pick up anything at anytime with system changing over like they are doing but listening in if it is not Maryville PD then not sure what group it is but they are going to all the mva, medic calls, fights and you name it. Called friend who lives there game him names of roads they are dispatched to and he said all Maryville roads.Hoping someone near there would grab that and get more info on it.

I used to write down the addresses or roads down, then travel over to Google Maps. Then type in the road or address like this (555 Radio Rd, TN) and it will show all the roads in TN with that name on the left. When I get done it has narrowed it down to one place. The next question is whether it is a county or city police. If all the addresses were in a city area then it more than likely the city or if the roads were strung out across the county then it is the county sheriff. Works like a charm when you have that info.

If they use the 10 codes and signal codes then it is law enforcement of some sorts. I cant pick up Greentop Mtn from here.

Thanks Jim never crossed my mind to use google, sure that will answer alot. They do use 10 codes and have picked up couple more not in data base but they just come and go quickly. Can't seem to catch it fast enough to lock it in.
